About Our Organization

• Nor-Cal Bass is a nonprofit bass fishing organization that was established in 1976. It is one of the original and oldest bass fishing circuits in the State of California. Nor-Cal is operated and promoted by fishermen for fishermen. Nor-Cal has been a true workingman's circuit since 1976 and is dedicated to seeing that its members receive a professionally ran, fair and affordable tournament circuit.   

Nor-Cal offers a competitive one-day Pro-Am circuit in two divisions to its members. Each division fishes a 5 tournament season that culminates in a 2-day Championship Tournament for its top finishers in the pro and amateur divisions.    

Pro division entry is $150. Pro payback at each event is 80% to 1 in 5 entrants.  Am Division entry is $75. Am payback at each event is 66% to 1 in 5 entrants. All cash held back at the tournaments is carried over to the Pro Championship, which equals a 100% payback of all entries paid. There is a $10 Big Fish pot plus $10 and $20 option pots for each division. All option pots are paid back 100% at the tournament site.

The membership fee is $35.00 for the season. Your membership allows you to fish our Pro-Am tournament circuit against some of the best fishermen in the west. You will also receive full coverage of our tournament trail and standings at www.nor-calbass.com, which offers exposure on the worldwide web to our sponsors and anglers. 

Nor-Cal Bass is also proud to be the tournament organization supporting the Bob’s Marine Owners Tournament at Clear lake.

Our operating expenses are covered by the generous support of our sponsors. The product our members receive, the trophies they hang on their walls and the money they put in their pockets is due to the fact that we have the greatest sponsors available.
