JOE & SHELLY BRUCE TOP FIELD AT DON PEDRO MIX TEAM

Warm weather and clear skies
greeted the couples signing up to fish the annual Mix Team event at Don Pedro.
The turnout may have been low but the enthusiasm was high for this one of a kind
event.
The event brings together male
and female teams to fish a competitive bass tournament that is not competitive
in nature. It is an enjoyable event that ends at 1:00 pm and is topped off with
a BBQ lunch and raffle. Arnie's BBQ did another excellent job with a tri-tip and
chicken BBQ for all to enjoy.
Champions at this year's
tournament was Joe and Shelly Bruce, of Copperopolis. The Bruce's brought in a
20.64-pound five-fish limit. They caught their fish on swimbaits and
dropshotting in the narrows. The team took home $805 for their dominant finish.
Second place went to Josh and
Lori Ringeisen, of Ballico. The pairs 12.78-pound three-fish limit was capped
with a 8.72-pound kicker fish that took big fish for the tournament. Their huge
lunker was picked off of a bed in Moccasin Creek. The Ringeisen's took home $567
for their efforts.
Oakdale's Bruce and Kim Harris
finished 3rd with a 12.14-pound five-fish limit. They caught their fish
splitshotting and throwing Zara Spooks on schooling fish. The Harris's earned
$278 for their solid performance.

Our next Pro-Am event takes
place at New Melones. Check-in will take place at Glory Hole Sports.
Mandatory check-in time is from 3:00 to 4:00 am on the morning of the event.
Anglers late for morning check-in will be assessed a 2 pound penalty and after
15 minutes will be disqualified.
Our annual Night Open will take
place at Don Pedro on June 11th & 12th. The 2nd Annual
Bob's Marine Stratos & Champion Boat Owners tournament will take place at Clear
Lake on September 10th & 11th. Visit
