MATTHEWS & BRICKER TAKE KICK-OFF EVENT OF THE DELTA DIVISION

Nor-Cal Bass kicked off a brand new division dedicated to the California Delta. The bite has been slow on the Delta but the anglers couldn't have asked for any better weather.

Tracy pro John Matthews and partner Joe Bricker, of Pleasanton, took the title with their 19.10-pound 3-fish limit.

Second place went to Walnut Creek pro Tom Arcaya and San Jose's Dirk Enzweiler with a 5-fish limit that tipped the scales at 11.95-pounds.

Brentwood pro Bob Garrigan and partner Ralph Hinojosa of Lodi finished 3rd with their 11.60-pound 2-fish limit. The pairs weight was anchored by Garrigan's 7.89-pound Delta toad.

In the Am division Long Nguyen of San Jose took Big Fish honors with his 6.62-pound lunker.
