NICHOLS & NGUYEN EARN VICTORY IN 2ND DELTA DIVISION EVENT

The 2nd Delta Division event of the 2008 season took place April 6th. Strong winds blanketed the Delta for much of the day, which made for an interesting run back to Tracy Oasis Marina for the 3:30 weigh-in.

Conditions didn't slow down the big fish pattern of Oakley pro Ryan Nichols and partner Long Nguyen of San Jose. The pair brought in a 28.18-pound five fish limit. The anglers weight was anchored by both pro and am division big fish. Nichols toad went 8.90-pounds while Nguyen's lunker tipped the scales at 8.37-pounds.

Second place went to Brentwood pro Angel Valdez and partner James Ford of Modesto. The anglers brought in a five fish limit that tipped the scales at 23.04-pounds. Ford hooked a 8.16-pound bass to help anchor the teams weight.

Salida pro Mike Moreno and partner Dirk Enzweiler finished 3rd with a 22.20-pound five fish limit. Enzweiler's 6.50-pound lunker helped the anglers secure their finish.
